Hey guys, can my 6inch splits just bolt straight into the door to replace the stock speakers or is there cutting required?

And any tips where to put my tweaters will be appreciated.

Also i have a 1600W amp to put in as well and was wondering if i need to get a new battery to run it after i hook it up to the speakers and a sub as i was told i so?

Thanks guys

depending on the size of the magnet ull probably need spacers..
but yeh 6" will fit.

its 6" by stock, thats what i put in no modding required, a bit of a slut to put the original grill back on though

1600w amp is fairly battery sucking, my mate has 2x600w amps and he wont leave his car with stereo on unless the car is on. the battery has gone flat on him a few times, but i think he has a shit battery.

i got 500w + 200w amp and my car is fine, left the stereo on for hours while working on the car hasnt gone flat

a good place to put tweeters is in that triangle plastic space on the left part of the window on the door

if you are concerned about power drain then a deep cycle battery (optima/odyssey etc) will certainly help but they are not cheap, good ones are around $400. That said, is your amp 1600wrms or max output coz if uve got something like a 'boss' amp or something that has 1600w printed on the side of it I wouldent bother ;)

ekkk. 1600w boss amps.. a friend got that a couple months back, i warned him but "nah nah its 1600w bro. a friend is giving me a good deal too!". 1 week later, his amp was F'd.

anyway u should be able to fit 6-6.5 easily. speaker depth is more of a issue.

tweeters.. a-pillar, that triangle thing, in the kicks, in this.. empty spot on ur doorskin right below that triangle thing and next to your door handle.

battery.. hook it up 1st & if theres no electrical issues (dimming lights, voltage drops) then you should be fine. id upgrade the wiring before getting a new battery anyway.

:zip: I wouldn't be trusting that for long, in my opinion.

i was able to fit focal woofer into the stock door trims, wif very minor modifiations, and even the cover one. no spacers whatsoever
