Taking off dc5S front headlight cover thing?

hey guys, i just wanted to know if any Type S owner or others wud know howto take off the front plastic/glass bit off the headlight? this is off the actual headlight.. like disassemble the headlight and take off the front glass/plastic cover that covers the lights from everything getting in..

just to clean it out its just dirty from me accidently dropping things in ha ha LOL

You need to remove the front bumper in order to remove the headlights

its not 100% what you're after but the first few steps guide you to how to remove the plastic cover.


To take off the front bar i would recommend you jack up teh front end to get underneath easier.

yeah i know how to take off the headlights so yeah.. and of course ill take off the front bar heheheheheh :D but chi man.. baking it? is this really neccessaryyyyy? cheers for the help man

you need to heat up the headlight so the glue/seal is weak enough for you to take apart the headlight.

if I was you, i would put a bit of water into the headlight, and take it back to honda and claim it on warranty. water into the headlight is a warranty job, i got my front and rear lights replaced under warranty this year.

i bought it second hand... so im not the first owner,, how do i know if i still got warranty bro?

how long ago did you buy your car?
if the model is 2005, it should still have warranty because it's not 2008 yet.
