Hey guys this is my first DIY write up so i hope it helps you out, it is pretty straight forward.

Step 2: Use a Phillips screw driver to remove stock clamp on the throttle body.

Step 7: Using a 10mm socket remove the 3 bolts that hold the air box in place. (Two on top and one under from memory) After removing the 3 bolts you can now remove the factory air box.

Do you find that you need a bracket of some sort to prevent the pod from bouncy around in the bay?

Kyobibi - yeah mate i just done what i could with the bracket that was given to me, i still have to secure it better. I guess bracketing it could be a whole new DIY? The way i bracketed it is just for the time being :)

Claymore - U think i should have the screws underneith the pipe, i think that seems like a good idea, thanks mate :)

i got a bracket with one of my intakes, however it was for a ek, and i drive eg. so i just bolted it down on one side to the fire wall and ran zippy ties off it and around the tightening part of the pod filter.

otherwise it was bouncy around everywhere and could be lifted by hand. if you bolt it down properly most police man will let you go free, the ones which are not secured and can be lifted by hand( bouncy type kyobi was saying) will get you in trouble

no bad idea but i dotn like the cable ties get defected unsafe aswell.... prefer steel bracket or iron soem that will never break

Tried this today, pretty much easy to follow the step, but where the filter is ive cover with a soft metal tht i can bend it around and covers it....so it doesnt get defect.....

Thats an idea but the police are not stupid lol, they may even still defect you because it needs to be 'enclosed'.

x2, just get a 5L can at super cheap, cut a hole into it at ether end for in and out and use that as a enclosed container. My buddy did it for roadworthy and defect control on the AE86, looked great, will show u what I mean when you're over
