the 100k service should take into account anything that is done on the 80k one.
The 100k one is the major one and redoes everything in the 80k one also + abit more. Nothing to worry about

I told the Honda mechanic and he said all u need is a minor service for 100k as the major on the dc5r is 40,80,120.... is he wrong?

have a look at your manual it tells you what they do on each service point.
I always thought the 100k is the major as that is when they do your timing belt also. I've always done a major service on 100k, but then i do them myself.

have a look at your manual it tells you what they do on each service point.
I always thought the 100k is the major as that is when they do your timing belt also. I've always done a major service on 100k, but then i do them myself.
yea i wish i knew everything. aww well i never knew it was that complicated to look after a car lol. i called the honda guy and he said he will check over everything and tell me if its been done or not i think thats the best way but the info you gave was spot on cheers :)

Typically 100k kms would call for timing and balancer belts to be changed along with your typical service.
Possibly sparkies as well depending on what type your using ie. Iridiums, Platinums. What temps etc.

2002 type r Integras have a chain timing belt never has to be replaced.
ok listen up i took my car to HONDA ok well what a story to tell you guys ok here I go.
1. Honda appointment booked for 2.30pm didn't start to 3.00pm
2. Honda didn't have spark plugs in stock so i have to come back Friday to get them fitted.
3. Honda didn't tell me the minor things they did to th car like change windscreen wipers but charged me in the price :S what happens if i didn't have the money.
4. Honda didn't give my car a complimentary wash after the service (as they always give my parents one).
5. Last but surly the least as 4.30pm comes around i see my car pull out of the HONDA mechanics "yay my service is finished" as i said in my head. as the car pulls out of the drive way off it goes but does it just go off no it get s booted off every gear smashing vtec a mechanic drives my car up and down the road back and forward thrashing my beautiful type R as he finally pulled in and parked the car i was up to boiling point.
MY ANGER INSIDE OF ME CUT LOOSE I WALKED INTO THE WORKSHOP started going off my chops at the mechanics told them WHY THE ****N HELL IS THAT MECHANIC GOING UP AND DOWN THE ROAD THRASHING MY CAR you no what he said he said we had to make shore everything was working correctly with the engine and to see the valve timings. OMFG that made me more angry i went off my head at the poeple AT HONDA and said they are all a bunch of **** heads told them that i wasnt paying for the service and that i would take all my familys buisness somewhere else if i didn't get what i wanted and they said we are very sorry and i will be having and word with the mechanic who did this also i got them to give me the following for free STUPID **** heads think they can get away with it.
1. free injector clean worth $100
2. free windscreen blades worth $30
3. free top off the range spark plugs worth $200
4. service was supposed to cost $400 got it for $217
now that shows people that what goes around comes around just advise to fellow Honda mates be CAREFUL who u get your car serviced by (luckily i own a honda so reving it is not a worry lol peace.)
