how about i go about this? what company do you guys use?

its pretty big. like 1.5m x 0.5 x 0.5 and around 20kgs

i checked on AUSTPOST website i was quoted 200 to my destination for 20kgs however it didnt state the dimension limits. I know Austpost has a limit of 1metres to austwide parcels.

anyone help me out??

only ever used AUst post. You can try FEDEX they do overseas.
Most of my stuff from the US or HK is via FEDEX

so you sent only using AUST POST? do they have a limit size for oversea parcels?

i thin the limited size is for the EMS service... ring up auspost monday morning or go to one of the shop to ask.
You can only use FedEx when you or the receipt has a valid FedEx A/C... so they can charge you the courier fee as well as the possible import tax..

my items overseas have been small, but i'm pretty sure its still 1mx1mx1m is the max AUstpost takes.
Best to check with them on Monday.

I know fedex charges about $200 for the item that your sending. Also they do over 1mtr isze i ordered a very large package once

I used alot of DHL door to door service for me, it cheaper than Fedex and less hassle... TNT also good but u have to have ABN/or have a/c with them

if u are in sydney, I have another company which cheaper than DHL.. let me know i can give u their detail

cheers

from memory AUSTPOST has a 1m limit on packages but charges according based on weight.

whilst other carriers like UPS charge on cubic weight....which increases the costs ALOT

any downside of having a a/c with them? do i need to pay regular shipments or just one off is fine. no joining fee etc ? i have a ABN

does the apply for fedex also?

im going to call TNT, Fedex and DHL on monday

i dont know cause when they asked me about ABN and acc.. i didn't have it.. so didn'yt deal with them then.. i think u can join or registered on TNT website and get a qoute online.. see how u go mate..

for oversea, i still recommend DHL door to door service
