any brake fluid will do, dot4+ - high performance something if u must. unless u wanna do track work (i dont think OP counts), ur brakes will fade before ur fluid does.

What does the Motul RBF 600 retail for? Is it a DOT 4 or 5.1...or a 6? Am running a DOT 4 at the mo..might upgrade when I change my rear pads soon..

does the brake fluid contribute a role to brake pedal feel?

Brake pedal feel is effected by

- Brake Pad with solid backing
- SS brake lines
- Brake brace

and of course bleeding brake lines :)

Brake pedal feel is also effected by overheated fluid.
Hence the reason for buying fluid with a higher boiling point.

*as above*

Under heavy braking all the components mentioned above (such as pads, rotors, brake lines and brake fluid) all play a critical role. Skimp on one, and brake fade is your friend.

You can also pick up RBF 600 from Autobarn for much the same price.
