afaik you'll need to provide a roadworthy to vicroads and pay stamp duty based on the purchase price (you'll need to make an appointment with your local Vicroads). You'll not be able to have in registered in NSW in your name if you don't have an address in NSW.

you need to make inspection with Vic roads and u need to bring.

- RWC
- A rego slip from NSW in previous owners name
- Your own number plates or pay $28 for new ones
- Proof of ownership (a signed peice of paper to prove you have paid for car e.g receipt)

I think thats everything, they check your vin number when you go for inspection and engine number too.

Best thing to do would be call vic roads and double check with them, either way u will have to call up and book an inspection.

hope that helps
