reset stock ecu... do I need?

hi guys,

i'm getting a pod filter and full exhaust for my 97 EK hatch.. i've just heard from someone (cant remember) like... after that mods, i need to reset my stock ecu.. is it true? How to?

Don't need to but it may help sometimes to smooth out the car's mapping.
Most of the time it just takes alittle longer for the ECU to learn if you don't reset it.

disconnecting the battery and reconnecting it again after a few mins will reset your ecu, and get rid of CELs
