AP2 Tail Light Conversion

Pretty easy modification, took a few hours (you can tell from the shadow on my car lol) from my xmas arvo to complete.

But well worth it :thumbsup:

nice work! where did you get the lights from? any other additional parts required apart from the tail lights?

I used gaskets, 2 blubs and ap2 tail light wiring loom plugs. I re-did the plugs instead of sanding / modifying the ap1 to make them fit.

excuse my ignorance but when you "re-did the plugs" do you mean you just cut the wire to get the original plugs off and put ap2 ones on the same wire ?

Didn't need to cut the wires, just pulled the wires out making sure not to damage the metal soldered bit and inserted the metal part into the new AP2 plug. No cutting or soldering required. :thumbsup:

A bunch of carbon fiber Chargespeed bits, wheels, exhaust and stereo. Should be good when it's finished. ;)

Hey mate,

I can't really remember how much the tail lights were. For some reason I keep thinking $550 from the US delivered with all gaskets and brackets.

Can someone tell me if the AP2 lights are fitted, can the AP1 lights go back on later or is this a one way trip? That is, does the metal work have to be trimmed as well?

The modification to the bodywork is a definate trim job. Involves hacking out about 2 of the Ap1 bolt locations.

where are you located its so easy man all you need is a dremel and cut away lol dont give up for no reason what for? seriously search man its so simple.

one thing to start off you will need this comes with everything you need gaskets, a template to use as a GUIDE! this will help you start off cutting and for your wiring aswell.
