Hey guys
as title Asks. I purchased rear Disc Brake setup from an EJ8 (ek Civic series 1 coupe). The HandBrake cable was from this, however after installing i have noticed the mounts dont seem to line up (for the cable)
Are the to handbrake cables different or the same?
can anyone give me a diffinate answer?
Regards Lyle

I have been told that sedan and hatch cables are the same physical length but mount in different locations due to different shaped floor pans.
I am 99% sure I have both at home. Will get some pics.

Hate to rub it in but we can source full ITR front and rears over here for that sort of cash.
For an EG9 rear end were looking around the $250 NZD
In terms of making the hatch cable fit it should be as easy as getting some electrical fittings like this and adding them where you need to mount it

I compared cables last night (forgot to bring in the pics)
I can confirm that the left and right are identical.
The hatch cables are around 20mm shorter in overall length than the sedan cables.
(As far as coupes go, the coupe is based on a cross over of sedan and hatch. There were very few coupe specific parts)

If this doesn't answer the question I don't know what will.
The outer cables are sedan the one in the centre is hatch.
Here is the length difference.

We use dc2 vti-r rear disc for a EJ8 rear brake disc conversion. No probs at all.

main issue here is running a handbrake cable on a different type of car... sedan - coupe - hatch...
it looks slightly shorter :(:( which means the differenc between fully tight and loose
