hey everyone,
I'm thinking of buying a F20b engine with gearbox and new clutch for $3000. Is that a good price and is that a good idea? I just got my first Honda so I don't know much about it. Would love some feedback. Thanx guys.

well it will work and it will be very fast and the price sounds prity good (depending on the quality and kms on it...) post some photos up and get us some info about it and i might be able to tell you more.
p.s a motor swap is a big move if you don't understand motors then this is not the place to start just a warning.
there is a guy in Brisbane who did the f20 conversion into a ek hatch i think his user name is Jase_ek or something. it was pretty quick. if u dont know wat ur doin its gonna be hard.. u can buy this ek its already done for uhttp://www.carsales.com.au/used-cars/private/HONDA/CIVIC/details.aspx?__Ntk=CarAll&__D=manual&__Dx=mode+matchany&seot=0&Cr=3&state_id=79&keywords=manual&State=Queensland&__N=4294965322+79+412+4294965250+834+285+257&silo=1003&distance=25&R=1866042&__Ns=pCar_PrivateSpecialFlag_Int32|1||pCar_ImageCo unt_Int32|1||pCar_LastModifiedDate_DateTime|1&__Ntt=manual&trecs=52&__Nne=20&__Ntx=mode+matchallpartial&PriceMax=20000&__sid=1144F3C8C230&Model=CIVIC&Make=HONDA

Thats the engine i'm thinking of getting tct. He wrote the car off and now he is selling the pieces. Everything is already done on my car looks wise. The engine is the only thing that needs work. Don't get me wrong, i know a bit about cars. But I want this Honda 2 be one of the best in Brisbane, and for that I need some help. I will look at other engines and I have a few friends who can help. I will see what they can find. Thanx guys for the help.

I can fit that engine into your car. But it'll set you back a fair penny. PM if you're serious about getting it done.

well i'm very serious but looks like i'll need to find a new engine since i haven't heard back from Jase in a long time. ah well, what can you do.
anyway, I have heard good things about High Power Racing, any comments there? Are they good or bad? I know that I don't want to spend more then 5k.

Barefootbonzai can service you if your in QLD. THey have done a few h22a conversion, which is the same as a f20b.
I think he does it cheaper than any other workshop. If you want to save 500-1000 go to barefootbonzai

He does the conversion in his backyard. PM him and he can do some sort of deal for you.
His conversion are better than some of the workshop around the brishbane area.
