what car mods you done atm? i rekon you should go for suspension work first... need good handling before you want to go quick mate.

to be honest.... u wont get much performance out of a gli...
reason being the engine is the bog std d16y4... kind like no matter how much u put in... its still gonna be a d16y4...
and its got not much punch..... i'm speakin from experience.... i own an ek1....

imo... jus make it look sweet with 17's on.... some good sussy and like make it a cruiser....change i/h/e... does that do much??? (anyone here done dat)

dats all i would do wif me ek 1 if i don't get the eg5 i'm eyeing by years end

as raysir just said, u cant get anything more out of a d16y4, we all know its gutless i got one (sedan) all i done to it is muffler for the looks, 17" with 205/40 falkens, Type R grille, type R headlights (home made) SIR foglights like the 99 VTiR coupe but in yellow on the way its getting shipped i ordered it overseas and SIR taillights RED&White i dont know if u've seen the ones im talking about but my car is all gonna be JDM'd soon. Shaved all the emblems, ill post some photos for you.

hmm... i reckon if you don't get something excessivly heavy (ie. a big chrome 17"), there is going to be a fairly negligable difference.

17" will suit the car, asthetically, rather nicely.

Id personally say go with 16's... You improve the look of your car at the same not weighing it down... Its not gonna make a huge difference but it does help... I went from 17's to 15's and it felt like i got a new engine or sumtin.. car responds so much better..

The OEM rims SirJDM posted are DC2 VTiR rims, from "series I" 94+ DC2s. I have a set I'm willing to let go for the right price. PM if interested.

 Go for the 16's if u want bigger rims..17's are too big in my opinion. but I would still go for the 15's thou..LoL...

i got a EK1 as well and the performance isnt that good and plus i had zepters 17's b4 and the performance isnt that really great coz the mags was heavy,

but seriously if you want to go for looks then big wheels, lowered the car yeah thats good, but if you have in mind about performance then you might as well get good size wheels and stuff im speaking from experience i ended later on wanting performance and changed everything =)

17" is too big for ur car..

16" lowered about 2.5 " will b great cruiser..

white rims on white car? I wouldn't recomend it go for something like bronze or gunmetal... that'll look sweet IMO!

What is the "sussy" setup? Springs? Damper + Spring package? Coilovers?
$180 for installation including an alignment is a good price. Where are you having the work done?

R u gonna use the EK4 shocks or ur stock GLi ones? Since the EK4 shocks have a shorter life I suggest you use those. And remember to tell the guy to lube where appropriate or u might have some creaking noises.
