Power steering belt

Hey guys, Just wondering has anyone ever taken off there Power steering belt for cheap power? and what was the outcome?

wont do anything. I did it once for "free power" ( ie the belt snapped) but it only made the steering really heavy. The only difference is the less weight (about 8-10kg incl. the excess fluid) so thats a bonus.

If you MUST , properly remove the entire PS system and just leave the rack , with a proper breather + reservoir of sorts.

The outcome of removing the belt will be losing your power steering assistance!

Not worth it IMO.

yea it doesnt do anything for power.. i lost my belt at winton half way in the S bend. it was hard as to slow park with your belt off.
