hey guys,

i got a jdm xsi cluster for my teg (92 ls) i had a full tank of petrol at the time and the petrol meter was full. now im wondering, is it accurate? i feel like i should have less petrol then i should? what u think?

i have thought about how many km's to a full tank, but i recently had a b18c and manual put in ( compared to my B18a auto ) and of coarse, vtec daily!

help me out

JDM clusters are logarithmic not linear. I get 300-350K to the first half and 150-180K for the 2nd half. Just know that when you get to quarter of a tank it's generally not far until the light comes on (100K).
B18A auto = more fuel than manual. B18C man VTEC = approx same as B18A auto.

so does wat ure saying mean, the petrol gauge will never be accurate, i will have to keep an eye on the amount of km's?

i get 300km's to the top half of the gauge and then refil just under a full tank. if that makes sense.

If you get 300Km to the first half, then you'll probably get 150Km to the last half. The gauge will go down quicker from half to empty. That's all you have to remember. I usually fill up when the gauge is just above empty line and that equates to about 32L. If I leave until the light comes on then it's usually more like 36L.
