its prob too expensive to put in and also too hard as the NSX is a RWD whilst the civic is a FWD.

Just sourcing would be hard as they only make limited models each year. Less than 100,000 sold each year world-wide.

Yes.. but since its rear engined, the conversion would not be disimilar to a 3S from a SW20 to a corolla. Just from observation... the limiting factor would be the physical dimentions of the C30 in a civic bay. As with everything.... others will say the limiting factor actually is your wallet size :)

Question is why would you bother when a K can easily get to the output of the C30/32, get there cheaper and without the tears and headaches.

100,000 / year.... I'd be surprised if they had made that many during the NSX's life. Be interested in figures.

anything can be done, just need the right amounts of money, and for something like that we are talking about 10's of thousands.would be a waste of time and money, but it could be done.

wish people would stop picking random engines to put into hondas.

Altho i did see a 350 chev engine placed into a DA9 for racing. but the ammount of cutting and welding of mounts was rediculous. shifter also sat about elbow level.

Might be cheaper just buying a 2nd hand NSX lol

honda legend has the same engine if i recall correctly. If u cant get the nsx engine look for a legend to pull apart both are going to cost a bit to find, buy.

The numbers are similar but thats really where hte similarities end

C30A = NSX - DOHC (quad cam) motor
C32A = Legend - SOHC (twin cam) motor
C32B = NSX - DOHC (quad cam) motor

that's cos they built those engine for FWD and RWD.

early model 4age/ze came in both FWD corolla & RWD Mr2

the 3sge came in Celica FWD & MR2 RWD

Makes it alot easier to convert.

The NSX was always a RWD, those conversions must have been a real pain.
But then like you said it all comes down to $$$.
I've seen a Evo VI motor in an Excel which has been converted to 4wd, with custom drive shafts. only cost them $40k to build :zip:

as above, at the end of the day the amount of cash and time you'de have to spend to get these things running properly and road legal would prob make it easier to just buy the car the engine originally came in. on top of that, itd still most likely be a better package as (funnily enough) a civic was not designed to have an nsx engine in it. some engine convos have proven over time to be worthwhile but others are just rediculous and unnecessary and are really only for ppl with too much money :)
