The throttle cable is one of the easiest ways to get a little more response out of our cars.
Honda keeps extra slack in the cable for 'granny' drivers so they don't rear end people!
The rest of us on the other hand WANT that extra jump off the line! Here is how...
First get a set of wrenches to fit the two nuts.
Then loosen the locknut enough to when you pull the cable, their is about half as much slack.
Next, tighten the adjusting nut so the cable stays put.
Your all set! All you need to do is make sure the car does not idle any higher once warm.
Enjoy the added throttle response!

if u wish to do this...its at ur own risk...

Actually you might be able to......but it all depends on how much slack (if any) exists between the cable and the mechanism that converts the peddle movement to a digital signal.

Do you have lag? I've heard of at least one Astra Sri with fly-by-wire that has some lag when you plant your foot down!

the XRT has drive by wire, takes some getting used too. Once you learn how to apply the throttle just before you want to use the power, your fine. Some say you need jedi reflexes lol :D Apart from that, the drive by wire is also annoying when using cruise control and traveling down hill grrrr!!

thanks for the quick write up N :)

mmm..could u also get more response by setting clutch pressure to medium-max?

Like u set the pressure point to be max (that is wiv the clutch pressed in and you're in gear, releasing it only a few mm before it catches on..."pressure point") Im under the impression that wiv the pressure point being so, i get more power and the car spins alot quicker as opposed to having it set all the way out like half way...

but i think i will make the car harder to drive. it might be good idea for drag but for tauge and daily driving it's going to be a problem....
just giving my opinion
