At this stage we (Hi-Comp) will only be competing at the WSID event(s). The plan is to run some of the WSID Bracket Attacks in S/ST as well as numerous street meetings. The car will be a regular as it was last year.

sfwd would be nice but I want to keep the weight low and I have no plans of boosting the VQ35 yet.

Is the FWD V6 class pretty competitive? March 16th is a surprisingly good date for me, got to be in Liverpool for work the day before.

you said ure racin allmotor so long as u qualify and get close to ure dial in its going to be competitive as ure oposition will be trying to do the same thing so in that case it is competitive.

btw arnt u the same guy that had a sr22de or sumthin that was meant to rival egk20a???

Thats me...

- You get 3 qualifying runs
- They call out the classes over the PA normally 3 or 4 times to go to the staging lanes
- You nominate a time, grab one of the officials or write the time on your windscreen and side window yourself with white shoe polish

wont be able to make heatcote most likely i will be doin the wsid events and possibly jamboree depending on how i go at wsid.

No need for pics, I bought a 30Gb video camera :thumbsup: Surely, even my legendary photography skillz can yield enough footage to show the car I have been working on for the last 4 months.

Might want to check the SR20 forum for how easy the VQ conversion is ;)

*VQ30 ECU + MAF with minor wiring mods on a stock harness with a few additional wires

*Extractors and a 3" exhaust
I have a few other bolt on parts but waiting on the daughterboard so I can get some PWM VTC control before tuning is completed.

i dont really care whether you done it or not to be honest , just get out there and race your pulsar in all motor i dont want to be the only one lol.

Yeah, I will gladly chat with you and my car will be there. If I had not been at work last time, I would have had more of a chance to chat. I am not in the habit of driving the SSS as a daily driver, so not like you could expect it to be there when you rocked up last time. With your previous experience, I will let you DRIVE the Q to prove I have not slapped a VTEC sticker on a GA16 to gain 100Kw ;)

You will not be the only one. If the dates are correct, I will be there. The LS1 events are not on any of those dates.

I know the track was crap, a VL crashed, and the Pro Turbo/Pro Compact classes got combined and points shared because they all said it was too crap to race on.

Cant comment on much else but from the ph call I got last night the boys said the VL crashed after it put a hole thru the side of the engine oiled the tires and that is what caused the crash,the VL was pitted in the next carport to the Alcon cars so it not just a rumour about the engine failure.Like I said they are staying at Daves house
tonight so once they turnup they will log on and give everyone a run down on the meeting.

The event ended up being not as big as expected. All the pro guys packed up and went home early because of the track apparently not being there. Damien Mackern stil managed an 8.23 early in the day and Sadek managed 7.50's with 1.25 sixties. The red civic still managed 1.8 sixties on a 11.92, similar to what it ran in Sydney and the silver civic sixties were in the 2.0's as good as it has done anywhere else. The track was as good as it possibly could have been, but it still wasn't good enough for some. It was disapointing the street type fields had to be combined due to a shortage in entrants.
Only eight in a field from combined Street FWD Street AWD Front Mod and All Motor fronted for eliminations. My crew still had a fun weekend and in my eyes well worth the trip, and I will go again next year if they hold it again.

Yep, track was shithouse compared to WSID or Willowbank... but that was to be expected, I got a fair few qualifying runs in which was good for consistancy and setting up my dial-in :D

Ended up picking up the points and top qualifier for sfwd even though I broke a shaft, the other competitor broke out or red lit afaik...

I was actually in the other lane when the VL crashed... it was mere metres and it would have been all over for me.. so i'm very happy I came out unscathed. Yes, it was an oil leak, I have the reminants on my front bar to prove it :)

ran 14.658 @ 88mph couldn't find 3rd
14.499 @ 92mph clean run but very causious through gears

alcon bro's gave me a few pointers for the track.. (thanks heaps)
at night as it got cooler the track would get better. few ppl told me to dial in .100 - .150 quicker than what i qualified.

So i dialed in 14.35 and came up against a mazda wagon who dialed 12.5. i was so nervous left the line around 8000rpm lotsa wheelspin but manged a 2.070 60ft went through gears quick and smooth, but 30mtrs from the end i backed off feelinf the run went quick got the slip and seen that i broke out big running 14.18 @ high 94mph..

unhappy that i broke out but very happy knowing that i should run into the high 13's..

my mates cc lancer qualified 1st 12.3 @118mph running a 4g93 but something went wrong when he left the line.

found out today that pistons 1 and 2 are cracked...
but we will be back again in august
