Just wondering if anyone has actually seen this headers and has some info on them?

Which one would be better?

On a side not: I called up livo exhausts and one of the guys there said someone came in there with Xforce headers and that the ports on the headers were smaller than the ports on the head........but I think I know who's car this was and the head was actually a b-series (ok ok so that's not really relevant).

So anyone?

I thought the ports looked about the same as each other (head ports-manifold ports)..but I didn't measure them, so....
but the one thing about the Xforce headers is the collector outlet is the same ID as stock on the vti. there is something else about my headers...the flexi-joint isn't any good. The problem is the torque twist of the motor is such that it pulls the collector AWAY from the flexi, so it sounds like friggen bees are up there at about 3000 RPM and under load...I am getting an exhaust place to weld in some flex pipe before the cat and do solid flanges to replace the flexi ones...but the headers have been a good bang for buck purchase IMO.. :)

I had a set of X-Force extractors sent down from Sydney and the ports weren't the same size. I'm pretty sure they sent me the wrong ones, ie for a d-series instead of a b-series. They seemed like a nice item though, just they didn't fit my car :p

I know that the Hurricane are a copy of a jap header, and so is the xforce.
try and find out who copied which one :)

I was thinking of getting the xforce headers for my b16. Can anyone tell me if this will give me power gains as ppl have told me that the standard headers from honda is good already.

Would the "bees" noise be reducing performance? i fitted a set last week and everybody loves it. my mates know the sound of my car now from all the other zorsted civics in town:)

bees noise?

Psyklops
27-08-2004, 08:59 PM
well that noise is caused by a temporary leak before the cat....so......I'll find out after I get rid of the flexi-joint and replace it with flex pipe

*read my previous post in this thread

Xforce

Sorry for the late reply

got my flex pipe welded in today...I have noticed a significant reduction in the bees noise...but it is still there to a degree..must be a characteristric of the header design....the leak was causing a power loss, as it is a little stronger accelerating now :)
