hey all, im in a tough boat with this..
should i buy OEM fat fives/EM1 wheels, or aftermarket wheels?
i was thinking maybe 15"/16".
i know some wheels look better than others.. just need some opinions. no chromies or oversized sizes like 19"s either..
for aftermarket what would you all suggest?
this is for an ek1 civic, budget would probably be 500 for OEM wheels and maybe 700 on aftermarket stuff.

Probably go after-market. You have a far greater choice. Not only that, they look nicer most times.

$700 doesn't open too many doors for you but within that price range you could snap up some nice replica sets. Bear in mind that you might need to also cough up an additional $300-ish for tyres, too.

I'd say HR wheels have some nice stuff to start off with. Could get a nice set + tyres for about $1k.

You could then either look at Buddy Club's, Rota's or Advan/Volk replica's in 15/16" for roughly the same price.

Have a look around and see what interests you, but again I think after-market would be the better choice possibly. And I guess it doesn't hurt to spend a bit more on a good set because a good set of wheels will definately pay-off in the long run ;)

yeh im thinking of keeping the budget low so i can afford some good rubber. ive noticed that some of the cheaper ones tend to skid alot for me in the wet.

yeah some ppl have said its a bit steep.i think they are worth the money though,i bought them for $1600,but anyway.

back to the thread.buddyclub have good wheels for the price they are,the P1's are a light wheel that look pretty good on civics, you really can feel the difference compared to a more 'blingy' 17"
