hi guys,

im starting a small build on a civic i got hold of and i can do the engine and that later on.
just wondering where to start with handling modifications on my civic?
from a bare bone stock ek.
first i want to start small, maybe a front strut bar? (does it really make a big difference? from what i heard from my friends) and then later on bigger projects.
not really a speed demon, just like my car to handle well.

thanks.:)

sway bars make a bigger dif than strut braces imo,
i put a whitline rear sway on my stock crx and made
a huge difference in the way the rear follows through.

go front and rear for a massive improvement.

This is the order I'd go:
Springs & Shocks together
Swaybars (especially the rear)
Strut Braces front & rear

All the above have very different purposes but all complement each other, by reducing chassis flex with strut braces you are stopping the chassis/body acting like a spring and you force the springs and shocks to do more of what they're designed to do, so improved ride quality is one benefit of this.

EK civic's will need a rear-subframe brace for sway bars larger than 14mm (OEM size).

Remember to budget for that.

> whats the subframe brace do?

The brace reinforces the subframe which has a tendency to tear when stressed with a larger sway bar.

ASR brace

Whiteline if you want to support local suppliers, do a bit of research first.
