Turbo honda will always = trouble from cops in some way or another...especially with that pink bumper of urs LOL
Best to have a sleeper if u want minimal cop attention.
Back on topic though, yes u would require an engineers cert for the setup to be legalised.

cops can still pick on you even with an engineer certificate

Where - that maybe better suited for someone from VIC to answer...
Cops - ur never gonna get em off ur case.
You can still get defected with an engineers...i know for a fact in NSW,
However, with engineers, you have a much stronger point to give the cops, and a much easier time in passing your car again.

As Qball said keeping things legal is best but I know of others (I'll mention one friend) who turbocharged his BMW 4 years ago & still owns it to date & has never had a problem. His FMIC has been sprayed black along with IC piping & a Black "stealth" Turbosmart BOV.
As Qball also mentioned having a sleeper (besides rims of course) Helps:thumbsup:

Do yous think,
rims(not chrome or anything that stands out alot) + lowered + front and rear lips would attract alot of cop attention?
I'd think they'd be out looking for the cars with bodykits, loud exhausts and chrome wheels etc

Na your brakes should be alright
You have to do an EPA test - i think it cost you some $$ down there, its free in sydney - to check your cars emissions and that its not too loud.
then for the engineering cert. it self.
Although it might be a good idea to upgrade brakes, im sure you'll be using the extra power, but you would more then likely pass with regular brakes

As long as your using good working order parts, tuned properly, a exhaust thats not to loud, custom brackets for IC pipes, FMIC & intake etc there should'nt be a problem.
The only person off the top of my head regarding engine swap or modification engineers in Melb is Modproject.

Your car may be actually quieter once the turbo is installed if you use a quality Exhaust & mufflers.
BTW... what's this going on d16 or b16?

d16 and i can tell you it will DEFFINATLEY be quieter than what it is now, unless you get a larget exhaust made up.

that's easy to get, you should be aim for more than that.
You coming to Syd? i really want those fenders.
I'll be doing my writeup on my build. Sponsor by Performance Exhaust.
Even then its pretty expensive as things come up

rodfl.
Ok let me see turbo build all depends on your budget.
The cheapest tunned with full ECU is about $4k mark give or take.
i've seen 2 other builds.
first was 7k built without tune
second was 14k with the works made 11s on 1/4
P.S i might drive down one weekend. Just need to plan times
