Spray gun Clear coat Problem

Heys..

when using the spray gun the Colour paint goes on Perfect...But when using clear coat it comes out as really fine Flakes sort of like short hair strands.

We mixed the Clear coat with Thinners 1:1.

what might the problem be?

Maybe the mixture is still too thick?

When I stir/mix paint I can tell if its too thick. Thats how I do my ratios.

Hey guys, while on subject of clear coating. I got many light-medium swirls marks on my new '06 civic, its also got some scratches. i use wax and polish after every wash. and after swirls are reduced. but it comes back the next time i wash the car. so i was thinking. is it worth going to a detailer and getting old coating removed and do some new clear coating on my car so it looks brand new without swirls??

No, don't remove your old clearcoat and replace with a respray. The new clearcoat can't be baked like your old one. Respray if you really need to repair the scratches but not because of just the swirls.
