hey guys
i've gotten some Whiteline 2inch "flatout" springs not long ago and looking for a set of shocks to go with them on my dc2
Some of my mates are telling me that the combo must suit each other well for max performance
Ive hooked myself up with KYB adjustables, but havnt gotten them yet, wondering if any1 out there has done that combo and how good is the ride?..
P.S jst looking for decent handling and KYB are the best price for me (due to my hookup :p) so other brands are out of the question unless KYB will prove shithouse
thanks guys

I'm no expert in matching shocks and springs and I don't actually know how they gauge the shock damper rate on a particular setting matches that particular spring but....
as far as i'm concerned...
I have adjustable koni shocks matched with h&R springs and the springs respond very well to any damper adjustments i make. So even on the softest setting, they ride/corner fine with more roll. On the stiffer setting, they ride/corner alot firmer with noticeably less roll.
so in summary, i find its the damper settings which make most of the difference.

I had Whiteline "Control" progressive springs and the ride was near stock. Being progressive they helped. you'd only notice the difference if hitting big bumps where the spring would firm up more to avoid botting out. If you are worried about comfort run Whiteline Controls (1-1.5inch drop) and KYB AGX shocks.. Decent budget combo..
SiReal - What H&R springs are you running? Whats the drop like and any idea of kg? I'm looknig to run the same combo as you.. Koni Yellow with H&R or Eibach springs.. but I'm hoping for something that isn't too harsh.
Currently got KG/MM and I find them too much for bumpy roads..

KYBs(the ones i've seen) have damper control so you should be fine.
I think [ricer ] has this combo you can ask him

thanks for the responses guys
at the moment, i already have whiteline 2inch drops (6.5kg/mm) and cannot be refunded.lol
so jst looking for shocks now.
road comfort isn't an issue cause atm, i rekn ill be flying off the mountain with the roll that i'm experiencing and i'm pretty much looking to corner better. and i could always fix that up with adjusting the shocks (looking into the AGX ones by KYB)
any other comments would be appreciated, thinking of getting it asap, even driving straight seems slightly scary now.
p.s P.Q me? sorta look lame being on this forum for long time still noob.
thanks all

good set of shocks will fix the springs, the shocks are the most important thing. I'm running a 5zigen set and they are pretty good. I've seen the AGX KYB and they are as good if not better

Hey milkman,
I'm using H&R sports with drop 1.5F and 1.2R. I've lowered the koni perch to the lowest one available so now it sits approximate 2.2F and 2.0R. I dont know the spring rates but they are said to be 20% stiffer than OEM. So I'm cautiously assuming something around 6 to 7 kg/mm
On the softest setting, you can definately feel they are stiffer but they are still VERY comfortable, even on bumpy roads. My mum doesnt complain, so that should help you gauge how stiff they are.
However, if I dial up the damper on the yellows, they can become back breaking.
Its an awesome setup which I dont regret spending $$$ on. Getting those adjustable shocks make a world of difference.
milkman, have u considered Ground Control coilovers? Fully height adjustable, tested and trialled in race conditions. They also use Eibach spring.
