Shopping for some new tyres for my car and the local Bob Jane recommended Yokohama S306 tyres using quietness as its selling point. Anybody here use these tyres and can recommend or slam them?

I don't like the tread pattern...it looks like it belongs on a family car (camry, magna etc)...ignore what the tyre joint say as they're told to push various tyres as good to make sales targets...go with at least the A539 from Yoko, or better like the AVS range...but for BFYBuck the A539s are pretty damn good....I have noticed quite a few recommendations fpr the Gen III Bridgestones as well...but these s306 look like a budget tyre with no performance in mind IMO :) another indication these are not performance tyres is the available sizes..

no lower than 50 profile and no larger than 15" rims...speaks for itself...these are the tyres the Flanders would buy if they wanted Yokohamas :D

Yeah dont buy S306s they're pretty crap

I had some A509s before, they were quite good, apparently the A539s have a harder sidewall, so they're noiser but they handle better in almost all aspects...

Gentlemen, I found this thread from a google search, please excuse me for butting in......
I am looking at buying a used car and the owner told me it has 15" alloys with 175/70 Yoko's on it....
Now after searching all Yoko's official pages, I can't find a single product that supports the above mentioned size/profile on a 15" rim......
Would any of you guys that know Yoko's be able to tell me if this could be something that they have made in the past but have since discontinued??
Or has the owner simply misinformed me??
What do you reckon??

Ask the seller what tyres are on the car.

Ask the seller what tyres are on the car.
All he wrote was:
"Tyre is a 15x3 (if that helps) Yokohama 175/70"
That's all the info I got, so I went looking and couldn't find any on Yokohama's site:

Call him up and ask for the model. The info he gave is useless if it is old or imported tyres.
