where to clear defect? i got that dreaded blue slip last night.. ive recently fixed the problems stated in the defect notice and i need somewhere to stamp it? does anybody know where i can get the form stamped and my car inspected etc etc?

lols yeah ive got quotes for dodgy's or so they call em where they jsut stamp it or something.. but ive already fixed all the issues ie replaced airbox etc etc.. i just need somebody to sign the thing so i can hand it into the rta and satisfy ashfield police! MOTHER@#(*&#*(@&!! -_-

yellow sticker labelling your car as a defect i think its if u dont fix the problems within 5 days ur rego gets cancelled. then you got ur red sticker where ur car gets towed lol. im unsure but yeah someone correct me if im wrong =]

Just about any new car dealership does blue slips so they should be able to pass you for it.. just try a local dealership if they can't do it they will know someone else in your area.

I beleive the RTA will be able to point you to a place near you, just give them a call

oks cleared also found out that ultratune clears your defects for around 12 bux! just a heapds up to anybody whos been defected =]

well they were going the oppsite way... and i saw it did a U-Turn i knew straight away it was a un mark police car... but i still drive normally keep to the speed limit... when i was about to reach a around about he turn his sirens on so i pulled over... wrong place at the wrong time... should of stayed at my girlfriend house she told me to leave later on but i said to her i had to rush home arghh

thats a shame u guys have ultratune down in victoria yeah? they can clear it then just give the papers into the rta.

Yeah we have Ultra Tune here... but i was planning to change my springs anyways mite as well do it now... reason my car sits low as is because i am on cut springs... i know its bad but yeah had no money to change them till now... my fine was $182 but luckly i didn't get any demerit points taken off me...

if i pull a dodgy and get pulled over again i would be pissed off so yeah thats the reason why i am not going to pull a dodgy this time around

Sorry yeah went of topic there... so how does this work? i go get my legal height springs installed then what do i do after it? to i need anything from the guys that install my springs to give to the RTA? first time getting defected please help...

i thought it would be like any defect... u have to go to vicroads and you take your slip and give it to the officer and they check to see if whatever was wrong is now fixed?

but because it is major doesn't it require a road worthy cert? check your paperwork.

u neeed to clear the defect. if u got defected for being low, u will have to raise ur car or put ur stock springs back in. then go to the mechanics to get a blue slip etc etc. and then go to the RTA with the blue slip and it will be cleared.

you will need to take it to a place that does blue slips. they will inspect it and tell you if you passed or not. if u pass u will get the blue slip and then take that to the rta and pay the fine etc etc.
