immobiliser remote problem

my immobiliser remote has been playing up recently, like sometimes it would go off or stay on by itself so the the hazard lights come on when im driving or when i lock the doors it would go off and unlock. im pretty sure its just the remote. i dont know much about this stuff, would i have to replace everything or just the remote if its stuffed?

You should have two remotes for a start.
If so, try the other one!

Alternatively, i would pull your existing one apart and give it a good clean out, there may be gunk in the button connections, maybe spray with some contact cleaner, i know the same happened to my TV remote a while back, and a good cleanout solved all problems.

If you do require a new remote, contact the supplier, they can be anywhere from 80 to 120 bux depending on model!!
