Hey ppls, k my cars been off the road for about a month now....So close to getting it finished BUT I need a new clutch, im not too sure if i should get a Honda stock clutch or a moded clutch.
I got a 88 ED, and looking to spend around $300-400 (i know it aint too much) im not to bothered by performance but i guess i would like a lil bit of it in my baby.

Nebody know what i could/should get In SA as well.

Disco-D what engine do you have ? d16a8?

it depends on how you drive your car man, if you drive your car during peak hour (not that our peak hour traffic is much compared to the other states) your prob better off getting a standard Honda clutch, or maybe a Semi-Heavy Duty or Heavy Duty clutch.

if however you dont use your car as a daily driver (like myself) but prefer to use it for racing or the like then you may want to get something a lil more harder, I ran a 5puk clutch in my old gearbox and in my new one I had Adelaide Clutch Services (http://www.adelaideclutch.com.au) knock up a custom XTreme 6puk clutch.

I have gone through ACS for my last 3 clutches as their XTreme kits have stood up to my abuse.

I would say you would be happy with a Heavy Duty Clutch kit installed, speak to ACS as to your requirements, and if you want to goto an experienced Honda Specialist mechanic, try:

MOTOROSSI
16 Boronia St
Klemzig SA

they are the only people I let touch my crx.

if you only have a d15 just go for a heavy duty clutch
not bad for performance and still good enough for a daily drive

I also need a new clutch... i got a EG Civic Vti Hatch.
Im not sure what to go for?I would like something that will be able to withstand a future turbo kit conversion.
Perhaps a lightened flywheel aswell?

What sort of budget should i allow?

Cheers
