keeping butterfly open

Hi,

I'm working on this project for this car, and my mate suggested to keep the butterfly open without having to hold the accelerator, by jamming a screw driver into the butterfly....

does this make sense, and how is this done without causing any vacuum leaks?

you can use your finger to hold the butterly open in the engine bay ~ if thats wht you need ?
You need to keep the butterfly open to clean the throttle body or ?

its cool i just kept it open using a wire tie to hold it as if i was holding the peddle all the way down thank you

Wow, we still have no idea what you wanted to do. Though it sounds like your cleaning the TB or manifold out?

maybe he wants to modify it so then he doesnt need to use the accelerator peddle LOL
