Sticky pedal feel, hard to press down

Hi people,

ever since i got my car my gas pedal feels a little hard to press down INITIALLY, but once its down its all smooth.

Hope you understand, like you would need to use a little force to push it down (asif its stuck on something) rather than smooth IN/OUT feel like new cars.

Any one what might be the problem?

I tried cleaning TB but doesnt seem to help i dont think it is that. Could it be my cable?

I had the same trouble with my rexy.. one day the bloody thing got stuck right down lucky was a quiet street all off a sudden the pedal just hit the floor and the car just took off on me! lol damn near had a heartattack!

My hubby changed the cable and all was sweet after that just change it better to be safe then sorry later on imagine it gets caught in traffic?!

Only took my hubby about 1/2 hour to replace it and he did it himself so I don't think it's very hard to do..

na bro i think you got it wrong. my pedal doesnt fall to the floor, its just hard for me to press it down at first, then its smooth again

the throttle body OR cable is catching on something.

Jump out , open your bonnet and see if the throttle cable is catching on anything. Try to move the throttle butterfly by your finger and see if its hard to move.

At a guess , there is alot of carbon buildup around the edge of your TB and is sticking. Needs alot of carb cleaner and a toothbrush

nah i cleaned my TB, and its clean,

the edge where the mouth open is all clean.

my guess would be the cable, but i couldnt find anywhere that could be caught...maybe i could adjust it?

clean the throttle cable and use new lube on it. Could be the lub is getting stuck cos or dirt etc

lube where? the cable or you mean where the mouth opens ?? and any lube in particular?
