Hi, do any of you guys/gals:wave: know of any aftermarket pulley kits available that are suitable for the Accord Euro 03?

I was also wondering if the unorthodox racing SS pulley kit (TSX) is suitable for the Accord euro?

Many thanks,

I think youve either got the choice of the Unorthodox Racing Kit, or NonStop Tuning pulleys

The TSX ones will fit fine

What's the advantage of these pulleys?

It reduces the burden that the electrical system and A/C puts on the car so it frees up some horsepower. The car will rev quicker with better response down low.

The TSX one will fit fine (because it's really the same car) but you will need a replacement serpentine belt which you can get in Australia from Gates. Do a search and you'll find lots of info (I did a review on them a while back).

hmmm imo the euro lacks a bit down low so this sounds promising.

Similar effect as a lightened flywheel.

Hey SodaZZzzzzz just wondering if you know the Part No. for the serpentine belt cause i've been trying to look for the one thats been on the other threads K070683 but i've had no luck in it.

Anyone have any links to trying to chase this piece down?? ='(

Also this may sound or i mean is a NOOB question but to use the pulley kit are you required to have 3 separate belts for each pulley itself... P/S, Alt & A/C ??

nah mate its onli one belt..
and also the belt number u have should work, just call up a gates belts seller and ask them becuase when i got my new belt they actually told me that they had changed the code for belt but its still the same.

Yeh thanks, is there an alternative to the gates belt e.g would a Dayco Part no. DY5070685 work? or Gatorback Poly-V 4070685 ? and why not?

Enkay has answered your question. The gates one works really well according to many users, I'm not too sure about the other ones. If you can't find it locally, you can try ordering it from overseas. This place stocks the belt: http://www.rockauto.com/.

Cheers!

only at idle....once u get moving and the engine is revving above 2000rpm.. thats enought to get the compressor working nicely, and it chills just like before... so i try to avoid stopping on hot days lol

So overall Justin do you reckon the lightened pulleys are worth the money?

I'm guessing a lightweight flywheel will make more difference than lightened pulleys...

yes, but its a different. Pulleys increase your lower down torque where flywheel decreases it. After having pulleys for months it's power gains are definitely noticeable. ALSO it will increase fuel economy. No compromises.

In conjunction with this bang for buck mod, what suitable battery would be used as the battery charging is underdriven?

if u get the NST pulleys, u can get an overdrive alternator pulley which makes it easier to charge up, but i think u dont get as much power out of it compared to the UR pulleys.

Do not worry about the battery guys, I have been using the pulleys for months with upgraded speakers (no amp), and everything is fine. Let's not worry about petty things we all should despise and forget

im running 2x 800W amps... i do have 680CCA battery, but that has nothing to do with not going flat... the battery will still get the same amount of charge from the alternator...

if your worried about battery going flat, just turn off ur amps for the last few minutes of your drive, that way the battery will have a chance to charge before u turn off the engine :D
