Just disconnect your battery. It should be fine when you get back. I'd do that than give my friends keys to my car.

ben my friend told the car needs to be started because the fluids in the radiator and other parts apart from the engine will form scales hence might clog it..

is it really worthwile starting the car or can i just disconnect the battery?

if you have a friend or relative that can start the car for 10mins once a week , get them to do it.
Otherwise just disconnect teh battery and when you come back , check all fluids then start the car and let the battery recharge.

Its only 3 weeks. The car will be fine... like every1 said disconnect the negative terminal. No need to drive it once a week.

taking your car is in good condition i doubt anything at all would happen to it.
just when you get back, take it for a good spirited drive.
eg. clear the carbon, vtec time

Some of my cars have sat for many months since I've driven them...

None of them had any problems

Just disconnect the battery so that it does drain and die
