Hi All,

So for all mods done to your car, do you require Engineer Cert?
And to get one done you need them to check your car is road legal in the state?

A blue slip is NOT an engineer's cert. :)

A blue slip is required if your car is defected and unregistered for more than 3 months.

You don't need all mods engineered. Major ones are seats, suspension engine swaps. There's far too much to cover in one post so late at night.

I'll leave it to JohnL.

Thanks guys,

In other words, the blue slip is so your car is retested to be road worthy?

Engineer Cert = the mod is safe and legitimate to be used on the road.

For certain mods you need engineering cert.then you need blue slip. Look up RTA site for what mods need these.

you don't need eng. cert. for lowering (but to be legal, you must have at least 100mm clearance from the road to the lowest part of your car) and ur pulley kit, for SRI if it's oil based filter (e.g. K&N) then it needs to be enclosed otherwise it's illegal (but really, almost everyone runs it open anyway). for cat replacement you'll probably need eng cert to ensure it's still within epa limit for exhaust gas. you probably don't need one for header (someone correct me if i'm wrong).
