Hello,

Just wandering if each car has their own specific O2 sensors? If so, what kind of O2 sensor can i use to put on my EP3 Civic Type R? The current one is dead and the engine light is on.

Cheers

yes you will need a specific type.
The O2 sensors on your EP3 would be wideband sensors.

It's gonna be expensive. I'd tip about $200 - $300 without paying someone to fit it.

Firstly ensure that your O2 sensor is the problem, if you have a code you are going to need it cleared by a capable workshop anyway.

If that is your problem you are gonna have to pay quiet a bit for a new sensor and for the dealership/mechanic to clear the code and fit it.

Have you installed an aftermarket header? as this can throw the CEL code for O2 Sensor, replacing the sensor will not fix the problem! If this is the case there are some other options u can take

Nah, the engine is stock standard. I was told that the guy complying the car broke it when welding the cat or something. Sounds pretty expensive though...:(
