Chip? wot chip
I think he's referring to the immobiliser?
my mate did the same thing. he forked out the cash. i say, goto a alarm shop and get something aftermarket install.. im sure they can override the stocky and give u something nice for that kind of money.

order a key from honda
cost like 30 or sumtin...cuz did it for his s2000
the immboliser is in the key. honda will charge u ~800 to get everything recoded.
someone asked pretty much the exact same question not too long ago...

have you lost all your keys. or just 1 black and 1 red ket lost leaving you with 1 black key.
if you lost red key and have only 1 black key go to locksmith, I hear they can copy your existing key RFID.
if you lost all keys, hold your ancles. quiz you Honda dealer as you can get a new imobiliser unit with a uncut red key and two black keys. then get it cut to the code of your lock or the tab which you probably dont have either.
weq, you just cant bypass the Honda imobiliser, its more tricky than that, you must remove a modual from the ecu and jumper a few things and add some bits then you might still get a code or a dead ecu. although the yanks say they now how to do it. its not a walk in the park.
good luck
fair enough, didnt know that..

If the ECU is a P3X or P3Y I can help you out by removing the immo all together.
Let me know of you want to go down this route.
