hey guys i was thinking of purchasing a new rooftop from www.topsonline.com although i dont know anyone who installs them located in sydney also i was wandering if there is a demister or not is it still ok to see out the rear window on a rainy day.

if so i get the demister what does the switch hook up on to,does any one have a glass window with a demister?

theres a guy on ebay that sells them. i emailed him and he said he would offer a discount on shipping if i order more than one.

if i order one in i think i might go with the stayfast canvas but no demister

I ordered the new top and Glass window with the defroster grid from topsonline.com about 2 weeks ago and im still waiting for it to arrive. You dont get anything for hooking the defroster up, but i bought the kit from hardtopguy.com . There is someone who has quoted me $400 to install the roof who is on s2ki forum. Pm me if you want his details.

i've had my roof for over 6 months, haven't had the time to install it yet.
Planning to do it maybe next week or so, depeding on work load.

will be doing it myself

yeah i did man, done a great job, no creases, and also $400 cheap took him 2 days

I just purchased a new roof, after seeing yours. The canvas and roof is so much better. The new roofs have been modified to be more wear resistant on the inner lining. The old ones actually wore out prematurely, as did mine, and I have got a new one under warranty.

Takes 10 hours or so to install now for me, first one took alot longer. I have completed 5 now, and each time I have learn't a better way to do it. Also I have got the straps down pat, so the roof closes first go, and there are no creases at all from day 1.

That's good to hear. $400 is cheap. I have gotten to quotes to install so far, both around the $880 mark.

I just don't have the time to do it myself at the moment.

Just cleaned my roof for what will likely be the last time before the retrofit. It had deteriorated in colour over the past 6 months. Now its all nice and gloss black again.

I use Meguiars Vinyl and Rubber Protectant - available at Autobahn stores.

As for fitment, I'm out and about today to try and find an answer, as I want to get mine fitted.

I don't have time to fit mine (its a genuine Honda AP2 roof with glass window etc), so I'm currently thinking about selling it but I don't know if I should or not. I'd rather the funds to cover some other costs.

I'm sure Vincent from Motorware can do it for you as he's told me he's done a few before. He did my hardtop installation though he did rip my softop window. =(
