i want to increase kw-s for my car,
what kind of turbo should i get?
should I turbo, supercharged or stroke?

my budget is around 1000-2000 only :(

you dont really have any chance with that kind of budget...

although you could do i/h/e but youll get no where near as much gains..

turboing auto ?? is there a reason why you dont want to drive manual ?

firstly id probably just say save ur pennis - even stretching ur budget to 2.5k wont really get a decent kit and installed (unless u can do it urself) not to mention the tune etc..

probably not worth it.. turboing an auto - eh probably wait til u get a manual and bigger budget. dont want to be shortening the life of ur car by doin a dodgy turbo job

oh and duno how strong the auto gearbox is in terms of handling the extra power.. might want to look into that aswell

o well, i just have to wait till i can buy either dc5r or civic type r... maybe dc5s.. i dunno, i heard they are not as good as dc5r japspec, i might be wrong, who knows..

With that budget, SRI/CAI ($100-$500) Header ($500-$1300) Exhaust ($500-$1300) you'd be struggling to get I/H/E. But if you are going to keep the car you may as well start with a cat back, SRI/CAI and headers.

Good luck!

with that budget, you can buy new tyres, pads, and maybe better discs. sorry bud, but unless you have 6-7gs. dnt start on turboing any car.

for that low ammount of $$$ i can only suggest direct port nitrous.

u can still get a quick auto.... autos are used heaps in drag racing for the torque multiplication....

at the end of the day its up to u and what u want... if u like that car then do it..

but do it right the first time... im turboing my da9 atm and its alot of prep to the rest of the car before doing it... and its hard to do all that and have a life and juggle a gf.

turbo kits r cheap and so are heaps of aftermarket parts for hondas. but u have to work out what needs doing and a big bank balance to do it... coz doing it like how im am is a pain in the ass....

for example

i need this car for a daily driver (remember this)

i just did the brakes (upgrade)
i need to do the battery relocation to boot,
gauges
fuel pump
reg
injectors
probly ecu aswell

then i can start on the turbo

fit the cooler
fit the oil lines
fit turbo and manifold
exhaust
tuner

thats including alot of skipped steps...

if it was me prob find a cheap b18c with manual gearbox

and then start to turbo

dont bother mann.. keep that money n keep saving up till u can sell ur car n afford a dc5R or dc5S.. then turbo :)..

american exchange rate is better against our dollar so u will find u can find a revhard bolt on kit for 1000 us and to get it here should b around 200 us

food for thought.... (take advantage of the exchange rate atm america has alot of items for heaps of cars including da9s)

Then you have import duty/taxes. It really can blow out.

justt remember a-man an auto gearbox out of an integra is completely different to the auto gearboxes in drag racing, they can handle from 100hp to 7000hp and are normally RWD, so inregard to getting a quicksifting or even manual.auto box (like a C4) for an integra would b not practical....

in regards to the post...
save you money dude, and really find out what you want from a car, 2.5k will just get you IHE, but if your planing on getting dc5r or ctr juss save your cash and go all out on the other cars

u dont pay import tax on stuff like that....

and im talking for a b18 b16 engines

i bought my kit off ebay and i went for a china turbo and i dont need the lecture because ive used them plenty of times before... its all bs

heres a revspeed one

same thing basicly

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/94-01-INTEGRA-B16-B18-REV-SPEED-T3-T4-FULL-TURBO-KIT_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ33602QQihZ008QQitem Z180212453723QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW

and 2.5k i think will get u a little more then a exhaust system aswell.

where r u guys buying this stuff from? just because its expensive doesnt mean its necessary good

if ur not happy with the turbo or the manifold just by them extra there still cheap kits and will save u money the kit is pretty perfect with out the hks or some bs written on it...

lol ebay has alot of good quality stuff, but also alot of cheap crap.. like that turbo kit u just showed everyone.. revhard is alot better of a brand than revspeed lol.. revhard is used all over the states pretty much! n yea u pay for wat u get, if ur gona buy a hks kit of course its gonna be better quality than paying for some no name brand. ive heard a few stories bout cheap turbo kits with manifolds cracking n all that.. not worth the money..

need we say anything else.....

u guys need to get out of the mindset that if its chinese its not good.. the quality is alot better then it used to be

dc4t
11-02-2008, 07:33 PM
its not that.. i dont think like that, there's also things like warranty n refunds that are harder to get over ebay. sometimes dont exist at all. id rather pay more for a guaranteed product rather than gamble with money..

revhard is complete garbage, their manifold welds look like a blind person weded it. if u want quality u go full race for turbo application, or if u want a mild set up go greedy.

A-man
12-02-2008, 08:49 PM
im sure the weldings better then urs...

i dont think its going a big deal. ive had dealt with a few sets of dumps from ebay and there still working now.. so i think its bs

my kit isnt a revhard i think its overpriced but mines not much different and my boilermaker brother says its good welding especially on stainless steel so thats good enough for me...

for the record thin pipe like that is extremely hard to weld
