iv seen a few pics of ppls engine bays with both a strut bar and a chasis brace, just wondering if anyone has both and finds any difference in having the extra support., and also if certain struts and chasis braces get in the way of each other.

p.s. which has most effect?

You can never have too many braces in a car.

I will be running a Carbing 2 point front strut brace, J's fender bars, J's C pillar bar, J's under body braces and J's lower arm bar. Chassis also getting spot welded this week. Let your suspension do the flexing.

all these braces dont necessarily make a car handle better. IF the chassis wont flex then the force is applied to the next weakest link IE suspension and then tyres.

in fact, you CAN.

firstly, if youre looking at braces, you should be looking at getting ones for the REAR first.

braces at the front, whilst they improve steering feel, are also designed to reduce oversteer. anyone with half a brain will know that oversteer (apart from lift-off) in a fwd is not exactly a major issue

as far as 'not being able to have too many braces' - well - your chassis is not indestructible. if you stiffen it so much with braces that it runs out of regular places to flex, it will end up cracking or bending. needless to say, this isnt good.

putting on one brace at a time will allow you to fully appreciate, get used to, and actually understand its function. it you just do them all at once you wont get that same level of understanding and knowledge of your car.
