I just had a catback and it was great!!! but headers are the big figure chaser on the dyno.

a little bit. then again the system that was replaced, was a cat back. i don't really have a good "butt dyno" either.
IMO though, i don't really think there is much of a difference. (unless except of course engine is forced induction) If anything, probably more noticeable at top end & freer flowing.
Oh & the noise & vibration ;)

cat back systems suck, go for the whole thing, HONDA already have da best engineers so if you want to waste your money on a cat back -- just expect some noise...especially on the VTEC engines.

If you change your headers you *can* have large decreases in low rpm driveability... you can end up being slower in some cases...
But yes if you are simply chasing a 'peak kw' value (which does not neccessarily correlate with high 1/4 mile times) yes headers are good...

yeah i just got mine header back done 2 1/4 pipe it's good but i expecting alot more...
Yes u lose you low end power but mid to top end power has improved..
true what danny said don't get cheap stuff... cuz money money can't lie...
but cheap stuff S#*t result more $$$ good stuff...
*peace*
what about the spoon exhaust system with the street type muffler?
still lose low end power?

i think if its the right size piping u shouldnt lose power anywhere...
??? is that a fair assumption?!
i had a 2.5" full system in my b18c... and when i went back to stock system, i noticed a loss in response and topend. i thought i would atleast notice a more responsive low-mid range zippy feeling. but alas i didnt.
so get the right size piping for your application and it should be fine.
normal jap stuff for our hondas always soom to be round 60mm. so thats a good place to start! good luck!

good quality system u will feel the difference straight up..
:)

first mod to do to your honda is extractors with 2.5" collector and cat back (piping diameter 60.5mm) and free flowing muffler - if you have only invested in a b pipe :)
and yes bummdyno shows that this will yield greater driveability and more freely flowing revs.
