Hi guys. Basically what i need to know is what would be the best suspension setup and brand of the part for a 90 accord. But so i can get great cornering and adjustability but without a very bumpy ride. Sorry if this is asking to much.

ide be looking at coilovers and the tein ss are prob the most popular, most ppl get them shipped over from the U.S. and that should cost ya about $1300 AUD including fitting. another marginally cheaper option is a good aftermarket spring/shock combo (eg. bilstein and koni) but since adjustability is such a great factor ide go for the coilovers :)

What about body roll cause thats the one thing that bugs me about the car the most. Would i have to get new sway bars? One thing i forgot is that im thinking of putting 19' Avantek T-Rex rims. So would i have to make any other changes?

well for a start 19's are quite big, alright if you only want them for show but they will be quite heavy and then you also have to consider scrubbing. 18's would prob be as high as i would go if you are are really concerned about handling and they still look pretty big on a cb accord (tyres are cheaper too). body roll is most obvious because the stock suspension is quite soft and allows for a lot of travel, lowered aftermarket alternatives will automatically help because the car will then have a lower centre of gravity so i would not say sway bars are vital.
just make sure the with whatever rims you get, you get a proper wheel alignment done.

So pretty much the coilovers and 18's? What do you mean by lowered aftermarket ones? You mean the sway bars? Cause i really need to fix the whole roll problem the most. I want some lean cause the car has to lean naturally but not at the rate it currently is.
The first thing to get is a front strut brace! its the best thing you can get with a CB7 according to my friend "cb7_owner"

I am not sure for cb7s,
but for cd5, tein basic or superstreet are the way to go.
if your looking for decent coilovers, go teins, and dont put 19s on man, you will have so many problems, you'd prob have to get the guards rolled, then you would still have the problem of "probably" hitting the inside of your tyre well.
18s big enough for accords mate, I don't think you will be dissapointed, and you can get 18s which look like 19s, or 18s which look like 17s, like mine.
I suggest you save the money , get your coilovers or shock/spring combo, and go from there in regards to sway bars. Because your stock shocks/springs for eighteen years ago may be pretty worn by now, bushes are prob fkd too, so I'd change/fix that, then worry about swaybars later, they are something you can do anytime, available anywhere and easy to install.
just my advice, take it or leave it.
by the way, www.titanmotorsports.com go here for tein coilovers, will get the best price, very trusted company.
coilover
rear sway bars
replace all bushings
front strut bar
and rear control arm

also depends on what size 19's u going for. example 7.5 inch wide?
if so, should fit no problem( don't quote me on it lol)

hey blkwlf,
I don't believe there is any "order" on how you can do things, However In my opinion, i like to start with the most expensive item which will give the best gain and go from there e.g. shocks/springs,coilovers.
then after that, you can drive your car and determine what you need next.
A front swaybar on a stock accord would be a small gain, however when you drop the car, depending on what u drop it on you will notice a difference anyways.
My other advice- Dont go cheap with your shock/springs, Do it right the first time, I am sure many ppl can back this statement with experience LOL

I just checked out the site you suggested FAT VTI and theres two different types of tein coilovers and money doesn't really matter (im not rich i just work a lot). Theres the Superstreet and theres some Flex coilovers. Which is better? And will it be cheap to install?

mate talking from an accord cd5 perspective the difference is this
there are 3 types of tein coilovers (not sure what is available for cb's)
tein basics-roughly $950- height adjustable coilovers
tein superstreet- roughly $1300- height adjustable and damper adjustable
tein flex- roughly....wouldnt have a clue $1500+ -height adjustable, damper adjustable, top mounts, a bit different structurally.
For cb accord, I doubt they make flex, they dont make em for cd5s, but i am not too sure.
I have tein basics as i didnt want to pay the extra .... for superstreet. They ride excellent, and go as low as superstreet. I was really worried about how stiff/bouncy the drive would be, but it feels the same as stock ...I cannot tell the difference.
However, people who have superstreet will tell you having the damper adjustability makes a whole lot of difference. It does and it doesnt, basically it allows you to adjust the stiffness of the ride. It is easy enough to do, and allows you to get your coilovers "just right" for your liking.
Tein flex, as far as i know the top mount is useless on early accords. tein flex are alot more expensive, and if your only driving your accord on the road, you should be fine on superstreets, I think tein flex are more aimed towards track use hence the price and structural change (and top mounts)
My opinion, the tein basics are enough for what you need to lower your suspension a good way. However, I do not know how you want your car to drive, so I'd prob reccomend superstreet.
the difference in price for me was 350, In hindsight...i suppose i should have been smarter and got the damper adjustability (ss) but I am very happy with how it is now, it is on the lowest setting on all 4 corners, drives very nicely, no complaints at all.
Hope this info helps you out, sorry if i contradict myself, but its coming from a cd5 perspective.
Make sure you email them and get quotes, let me know what they quote you for cbs, I know of some ppl with cbs who would like this info.
