Hi will i be able to have the s300 ECU directly installed without having to have a stock ecu? Lets say i buy the H22A with no ecu for my CB7, so i use the one i have currently in my engine, and then when i get the money for the s300 i just replace it. Will this work?

If you have no ECU, an S300 unit on it's own won't do the job.
You will need to purhase a complete ECU with S300 unit installed.
The S300 unit on it's own is not an ECU, rather it is an onboard romulator, data logger & security device in the form of a daughter board with USB port.
A donor OEM OBD1 ECU is still required as a base.
If you use a P28 or P30 ECU a normal S300 will be fine.
If it's a P72(Small ECU) you'll need an S300J
Hope that helps...

& Yes, if the above is done it will work with appropriate tune added.

Thanks man. So whats better the S300 OR S300j? And are you sure my current engine ECU will work no problems with the H22A?

Either or...
They're pretty much the same really.
The unit itself is physically different to fit in the smaller ECU (S300J)
But the function is identical.

What is your current ECU? (Sorry, you didn't say)
If it's OBD1, it will work...
The H22A engine & loom needs to be OBD1 also for easy fitment.
If OBD2a engine & loom are used, use a crossover loom to OBD1 ECU
