Accelerator pedal query

Hi, moved to canberra recently and went to get roadworthy on my 96 Vti coupe so i could change over rego, the guy failed it because the accelerator pedal had no rubber on it???

In NSW this always passed, they only care about the brake.

so the question is, can i get some after market ones(autobarn etc) with rubber on them and get it to pass?

Go to a Honda dealer and get a replacement. Hopefully you can just buy the rubber part for a few dollars.

If you get aftermarket metalic add-ons, they may complain its too slippery lol

if it is the stock pedal, just go to honda and get a replacement rubber sleve for the pedal, only cost a few dollars. your old one may have just worn so much it came off awhile ago.
