Door won't open from outside

just happened tonight... i unlocked my driver's door and tried to open to door from outside the car and the latch feels loose, so i'm guessing the spring inside either fell off or snapped... the door opens from inside and just outside is gone.. can anyone tell me wat the problem might be if it's not the spring inside?

take the trim off and inspect the mechanism, sometimes the cable comes off. Hopefully that is the case.

yah the cable clips into the door handle mechanizm and may come out on its own if its bent or not seating properly somewhere.

You should be able to clip it back in if nothing is broken.
