(on a EG/DC/EK/ED etc)

disconnect the knuckle , by taking off the tierod end , the upper and lower connections to the control arms and ofcourse the hubnut.
Take off the brake caliper and rotor too and you should be left with the bare knuckle and hub. Take that to a place with a press and they should be able to easily pop out old and pop in new studs

So you have to press out the whole hub. Wont this wreck the Wheel Bearings.

it will cost more if u screwed up the wheel bearings.

if you know what your doing then you can press the hub appart, chage the studs and then press it back on with out damaging the bearing. there is no need to replace the bearing during this proceedure.

I can walk you through it over msn...

So long as you're fairly mechanically inclined

dont make my misstakes bro! save your wheel bearings!!! honda quoted me $190 EACH SIDE!! but ended up going aftermarket... $90 a side..

I was stuck with this problem too man.. i have everything stripped down and pulled apart except the dam studs and hub.

i found a place to machine us up some spacers too dood... so we should go together and hopefully they will give us a discount from quantity? aprox $70 each.. so like $300 for 4 ...

but they are bolt on ... not free floating crap..

i dont think its possibly to get the studs out without actually takeing the hub off, even if you bash the studs out... i dont think there would be enough room to slide out the back... and if so, it would be alot harder to slide longer ones in.

a big metal square mallet will get old ones out this way. But could fuk your wheel bearing in the process and you still need to press the new ones in too. Best to get the hub / knuckle out and press out n in :)

you dont need to press the new ones in, you can use a wheel nut and a washer and screw it in with an air gun or by hand :)
