owning a 91 civic with a b18c2 in it, i have had trouble looking for a short ram intake system for it. do i get one to suit a honda integra with the same motor as mine or an intake for a civic?
thanks

get one for a b18c, although i think all the SRI's for any B series should fit, but you will have to check elsewhere. may i reccommend the top fuel 0-1000 carbon chambered one? :)

no he should get one for a civic in general as opposed to engine... there is angle difference between a DC & EG setup...

this is true, although pretty much all intakes are generic (ie you can change the connecting silicone bit etc etc), but if one is made for a b18c, itll probably be better performace-wise, than one made for a d15b or something.

direct hot air from radiator?

yeah dude you might want to look at going to like even super cheap auto and just getting some pipe and connecting silicone hose to lower the filter away from the radiator, even to just where the air resonator used to be

EG/Del Sol
- SRI to oem EG6/Eg2 box. bottom of box has been peppered with drill holes and full reso setup removed (it was a spare).. it was advised to me in another thread and the response gain from the holes is huge.

DC Integra
- CAI setup hidden inside stock airbox. a strong/thick flexible rubber hose (Shock boot) has been used instead of a couple as it allowed flexibility inside the box, otherwise would not have fit and will have required modification to box.
The coolant reservoir hids the cait to fender...

Nice work! Very stealthy!

I've got a J's Racing replica (whale penis) on the way but i'm going to give it a feed or 2 from where the resonator box was.

lol you guys talking to me?

the DC teg one is a full cai going into the fender. would have been stealthier if i didn't have to use that ribbed shock boot as a coupler.. only reason i used it was because i was shortening the piece and cut too much off and couldn't get a normal coupler to join.

as for the EG setup, since you guys have civics, you'd know that the inlet to the airbox is oval and a bit bigger than a 3in coupler even if i forced one on so nah that ones not cai fed into the fender. IF however someone can find me a 4in->3in converter coupler then it's VERY possible to cai feed it!!!

even better, i'd remove the stock air filter from the box and stick a pod in the end instead... imagine that for sleeper!!!

infurNOS: yeah didn't take long. $50 ebay SRI.. trimmed about 2in from the end and it lined up perfectly with stocko box... however its an EG6/EG2 airbox with a 3in inlet instead of the standard civic 2.5in. 3in pipe SRI kits always come with a 3in->2.5in conversion coupler for the pipe and throttle body, you just need another one of those to join to your airbox... max work involved including angle grinding off some of the cai.... 30mins!! :)

teh_mechanic: mate i had same setup as you with a loud metal mesh filter... but i had to get emisions test and cai was instant fail :(

whats the sound like with the pod in a stock box, with a pipe running from fender into d box (resonator removed)?
