I beleive you need the upright/steering knuckle to hold the calipers correctly. Not sure if the em1 fits, but an EG or Integra one does. It is a little longer (taller) that the ED/EF upright, changing the geometry slightly. I've measured the difference is about 6mm in height between the two.

By my figuring it will raise the roll center of the front slightly, not sure how much it effects camber either. Those that have used an Integra knuckle experience no ill effects of handling however.

The following post is EK centric, but there's lots of info on parts which are common.

yeh it mite be better to go with a ITR setup since your going to change everything over and price wise isnt too much diff, you can re-drill them into 4x100

or you can try finding some from a ef8/9 which are the same as the VTIR and would be easier to fit.

What you are describing can work, using the 262mm rotor with the 4x100 PCD, but use the larger Prelude caliper (which were used with the 282mm rotors), have the caliper carriers milled a few millimetres. Friend tried it and it makes a great difference, but quite a costly exercise. Good luck
