My dc5 still has extended warranty (from previous owner) for another 2 years i think. if i was to add on a CAI, would it blow the warranty? or will honda allow that???

i think any exhaust change would affect the warranty, but i wasnt sure about a cai

if worried, use drop in filter

Honda will say that if there is a fault and they can trace it to the modification then the warranty will be void.

but say it was an engine problem and your engine warranty if void, doesn't mean other parts of the car won't have warranty.

Remove it before you take it in? :D

I'd use a drop in if you're worried.

I would highly recommend using a drop in filter.

But like others have said, if the fault can be traced back to the mod, they can knock it back.

The best thing you can do to keep your warranty intact is to get it regulary serviced at the correct intervals, using genuine parts, and keep the receipts (if you dont use a dealer).

car is regualarly serviced (at a dealer), always genuine parts as well so thats fine.

depends on what parts if u clain for warranty
my DC5R clutch master cyln was gone and claim them for warranty,
they said its a sorta wear out parts and they only pay for the part and i have to pay the labour

As long as your not altering a sensors function it's fine. Cat back exhaust is fine. Air intake is not.
