Hi im n00b to forums, just got an auto accord exi fully stock
89 build date, first rego in 1990, so wat year is my car then?

2.2l dunno wats the engine called

Can you guys tell me what basic performance mods i can get?
I plan on gettin black 6 or 7 spoke 17s

you've got a 3rd Gen accord.

erm...i would think it's an '89 Accord.

i think u might have the 4th gen accord (1990- 1993), cause i dont think the 3rd gen had a 2.2 litre i notice my 3rd gen before had a 2 litre engine. Usually the build date is 1 year earlier so might confuse ya.

your engine is either an F20A (E-CB3) (2.0L DOHC non-VTEC) or an F22A (E-CB9) (2.2L SOHC non-VTEC)... i'm not sure whether the F22A was sold in oz.

my car is definitely 2.2litre
so im guessing its a F22a (judging from that last post)

yep even my vicroads rwc says engine number: F22A XXX XXXXXXX

so its a 3rd gen? or a 4th gen?

if you got a eng F22A5, Vin JHMCB765/755, then its a 90-91 Accord Built in 89 for release in 90. Gen 4. Just Like the Preludes with 4WS, there production was 88-91 but the very early ones had a build date of 87 for release in 88 just like your Accord.
