My apologies if this has been covered, however I've searched in as many different combinations as I could, but couldnt find an exact answer.. so here goes -

I've been oferred the following wheel + tyre combination and was wondering whether this would fit a 96 EK Civic Hatch (stock height), with no rubbing?

17x7"
4x100 PCD
+ 43 offset

215/40/17 tyres

Diameter and size I'm fairly confident about, however I've read a number of posts which say that +40 to +42 is more of an ideal offset for the EK. I am also not certain about the tyres and would really like some clarification on this.

Any help or guidance anyone can provide would be greatle appreciated.

Thanks,

- J

Not sure about the offset but my 205/40/17 I thought were totally sweet but I did find the rear right one has worn flat on the inside from the edge to 3-4cm in.The drop on my car is-no finger gap,the bottom of the fender is in line with the outside of the tyre.So with the same drop or more with the 215's they will rub a on bigger bumps.I know that wear is from my favourite corner :)

Thanks for the reply beeza - much appreciated! :)

So based on the fact that yours is dropped to a no finger gap - If I were running 215's at stock ride height (provided there's no issue with the offset), there probably won't be any rubbing??

Yeh,definately no rubbing at stock height.
