Unless you're absolutely in love with every part of the car, it's probably not worth the conversion either due to the sheer number of similar weight rwd chassis' out there.

i hate rwd? why would u convert a integra to rwd? the whole point of the teg (or any honda for that matter) is good handeling

i used to be obsessed with the idea of rwd but after having hondas i hate riding in other ppls commodores and falcons etc the feeling of the back moving is horrible for me now lol silvias arnt too bad but the crab walk potential is insane lol

awd is even better again, the feel of a wrx or audi is so comfortable and they handle really well

i spose if ur into drifting etc rwd is cool and if u master it it could be good for the track, but imo opinion theres no substitute for awd, frd or mr

from experience if u want the car to feel a little more rwd, put a 22mm rear sway bar and tie brace or ASR brace kit on ur teg, it will make it alot stiffer and the 1st time u drive it i bet ur back end will slip once or twice lol

i have seen MR integra =)

MR mounted H22a =)

how would you convert a teg to rwd? i know the saying goes with enough $$ u can do anything but would u need custom diffs and driveline and uni joints etc?

ive seen a RWD V8 EG civic hatch with the above mentioned gear =/ lol THE DESTROYER haha

Ive seen a Rwd Teg in one of my mags....that didnt involve the trunk being move around

*looks for mags*

Honda tuning august 2004 had the second half of the conversion (cant find the first one atm room is a mess)

they used crv parts to get it done (well actually it was 4wd not just rwd)

The whole point of rear wheel drive is good handling. The FF layout will always be plauged by the circle of traction. The front wheels simply can't turn and put power down at the same time.

FR/MR/RR just makes sense - front wheels point, back wheels go - and the faster you go the more grip you have to go faster.

FF just happens to work pretty well for how much of an underdog it is.

Honda's are front wheel drive because they are cheap to make and give good cabin and boot space, not because it's a magical handling formula.

If you don't like the rear end sliding out in your mate's falcons/comodores, tell them to learn how to drive.

all personal opinions i spose

i do like awd better than both... man a awd teg... that would be awsome

I like the the idea of RWD as you have one control for each axel. Right foot controls the rear power, hands control front steering. Two seperate inputs. AWD is the best and worst of both worlds. Never been a fan but I can understand how some people swear by it.

i spose im speaking from the stand point of that ive been in some really bad car accidents were other people have been at fault, and out of all of them the least safest to safest handling wise went AWD>MR/FWD>RWD

also in saying this though the crumple zones on a RWD are safer than a FWD because the motor is braced by the rear of the car, were in FWD the motor squishes back into the firewall (reason why i spent 6months in a wheelchair)

and after those feelings of lost control and concentrated inertia i now feel the safest in awd cars lol

i can see what you are saying though, a well set up s15 would be a good track car but i still dont think it would beat a dc2r for driving experience, im a fan of supercharged type-r motors with good handling mods

this is a good topic to share on =)

NOTE: if a dc2r was AWD wouldnt u need more power to spread out over the wheels? would a supercharger help with this?

Now, I love FWD's, but a well sorted S15 is definately going to be a better driving experience than a DC2R.

FWD works well around tracks in lower powered situations, like the DC2R. When you want to go faster the power just can't be put down at the end of a corner.

ive been in some very nice set up s13/s14/s15 well over 400bhp and to tell u the truth is not spectacular

the s15 was better package for both track and drift but i still like the hondas for a complete package for the track
