Hi guys! I'm looking for a single example of a clean S2000 that is interested in getting some carbon fibre body work done. I'm talking about bonnet, boot, doors etc.

If anyone has a clean example of an S2000 and is interested please get in contact with me. This is a subsidised sponsorship. The sponsored car will need to be available for photoshoots and possibly future event displays. There are also other things involved but if you're interested just message me about it. Thanks!

PS. Please have your best images of your S2000 ready! :)

I am looking for just 1 S2000 at the moment.

You would have to be willing to go with at least 3 the following:

OEM CF Rear Bootlid
OEM CF Doors
CF Fronts Fenders (+10mm)
CF Roof
CF Bonnet

If you are interested, pm me with a list of your mods what you'd be willing to go with. Cheers!

Melbourne preferably.

Haven't received much response to this.
Is carbon fibre not a big thing for Honda's?

WhiteAP1
19-02-2008, 08:31 PM
No its big, most ppl love it,and pretty much every major tuning arm out of japan make a carbon somthing for the s2000 ready to buy off the shelf.

Perhaps some ppl might see having to hand their pride and joy over for photoshoots and events when ever requested a bit of an inconvenience, especially for only a subsidised sponsorship with further undisclosed conditions attached. :)

I for one think carbon fibre is tacky when in excessive use.

I, along with Jon, would only want the Cf roof. Everything else is tasteless, unless painted.

Apologies for the lack of information.

You are NOT expected to hand over the car. In the event of a promotional activity, you MAY be called on to attend. There are no contracts involved.

Y::.;1546992']everyone here is into SEXSPEC YO!!!!

Not, everyone. lol.

I'd do it if I got the Advan RGII's - gold or white, some Bilstein PSS9 coils, the CF roof (mugen), and the my S/c kit installed and tuned with my AEM ECU. lol, is that asking too much? hahaha.

I agree with ludecrs, CF is only good when painted, so it can only be seen when the doors/boot/bonnet are opened!

So what's the roof going to look like? and who are we getting sponsored by?
What about fenders and bonnet and that, is it going to be OEM'ish style clean or fast and furious style crazy?

VVTi

It'd be nice to have someone from here do it, but by what I've been told from the various people who have enquired, is its not worth it.

Example, you still have to chip in ~$700 for a replica CF hood, after discount. LOL:zip: I mean Carmate only charge about $700 for replica OEM CF hood.... and you still don't have to go to any lame ass autoshows. lol.

the price i was quoted <> as compared to ammount of time i would need to set asside.
TOTALY NOT WORTH IT
without offence i think the subsidy amount needs some rethinking.
taking into account, these cars are out on the streets and people will see em and ask questions, particularily with CF parts.
with the prices quoted this thread is like a plug to sell some parts

ludecrs
24-02-2008, 06:43 AM
Not really.

For $700, you can buy a CF replica hood on ebay and still get $200 change, and STILL not participate in gay shows. hahahahaha.

yeh. you would be going backwards by using these CF parts for your car as the s2k uses aluminum panels.

If you've ever lifted up a genuine carbon bonnet you would be surprised how light they are, then compare it to those cheap ebay stuff. Not to mention the fitmet will most likley be shocking.

Hi guys,

I'm not sure what has happened but seems like a few have decided to single me out as 'the enemy' or something like that.

Feel free to try out the ebay products, I'm not holding a gun to anyones head.

As I have said to many, bonnets will range from 550-600 for OEM and vented versions. A greater subsidy is given to those that are after more carbon fibre parts for their cars as this allows us to showcase more products and therefore we seek greater exposure at events etc. Not as much benefit can be seen from bonnets, rather things like doors, boots and roofs is where the real benefit is.

We have already negotiated larger subsidies to cars that have 'more under their belts' so to speak. We have already confirmed several cars that are being sponsored in exactly the same way.

We are very flexible in the promotional aspect of things. We have a coupld of single cars in states which won't need to be going to 'events' as there's simply not enough cars. Lucky for them ;)

If people have a problem with the price or promotional decals or attending things such as autosalong, then it's simple enough to not accept. No need for smart comments thanks...

Smart comments are made for a reason....

You're not a paying trader to OzHonda, yet you seem to want us to buy overpriced, under "subsidised" parts from you?

You'll see I've previously stated I'd like to see someone take you up on your offer, (see: reply #28) but you need to wake up... and get real.

Your thread is now 4 pages long, and everyone here is thinking the same.

If you haven't got someone by now, you never will. If you genuinely want someone to sponsor, I suggest you should first become a paying trader, rather than a spammer, and / or you actually approach people in PM, rather than create a stupid thread like you have.

Most of us buy genuine parts, and I know myself I regret buying the 2 replica parts I have. Ebay shit is just that, shit.

If you really were genuinely interested, I think you'd be trying to sell genuine CF parts at those subsidised prices currently on offer, rather than replica (see: shitty ebay) parts you currently have on offer. Then you may generate some interest from owners willing to pay money for genuine parts.

Just my 2c.... take it with a grain of salt, or take my advice. - either way, its no skin off my back...

I'm not a paying trader, because I am not trading. If you might not have noticed already, I am not selling parts for profit here mate. If moderators have a problem with me doing what I am here, they can politely tell me so and I will respectfully cease.

As far as you know, I could have 10 people actually doing this, or none. The reality is I have 8 cars that have been confirmed over a few different forums. Perhaps, you may just see in due time how incorrect your assumptions are.

I don't know how I am a spammer if I post on topic and reply in it?...

Apologies to you if I have created such a stupid thread, if it is such a stupid thread, why are you replying in it? To tell me it's stupid? I think I can figure it out for myself thanks.

I think it's silly for anyone to make such strong assumptions about someone/something they don't even know about...

Thanks very much for your advice. I'll take it into account.

You run a business. check.
You're trying to sell parts. check.
You want us to buy parts from you, at a discounted rate. check.

I'm not sure where you're from, but to me, that clearly makes you a trader.
